My darling Warner Duff, a unique name for a unique man. I feel immensely proud and privileged to have been able to call you my best friend, soul mate and husband. You showed me what it was to feel valued, worthy and special, the basis of a happy loving relationship. Although you suffered from ill health for much of our time together there was not one day you complained, despite the chronic pain you fought against every single day. You lived life to the full and enjoyed it as far as the limits of your body would allow you to. You took great pleasure in helping others whether it be through football, family or friends, you were always forthcoming in being the first to lend a helping hand. My darling Warner I miss you so much and as I read these words I feel they must have been written for you. God saw him getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put his arms around him And whispered “Come to Me” With tearful eyes We watched him suffer, and Saw him slowly fade away. Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts To prove to us, He only takes the best. Night night my darling I love you more Te Amo
